Veilleux Joins Wall Babcock

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. (AUGUST 1, 2019) – Jean Wright Veilleux has joined the law firm of Wall Babcock LLP in Winston-Salem as counsel.

Jean has over twenty years of experience in healthcare law. She represents health care systems, clinically integrated physician networks and accountable care organizations in managed care contracting, transactions with physicians, health systems and payors, and regulatory matters such as fraud and abuse.

Prior to joining Wall Babcock, she was Vice President and Deputy General Counsel at Mission Health and General Counsel for a division of Mission focused on population health and physician networks. She previously served as General Counsel for Novant Health’s headquarters in Charlotte, NC, where she had responsibility for four hospitals, a nursing home, and physician practices. She has also worked in the National Office of the Internal Revenue Service’s Exempt Organizations Division preparing rulings on exempt organization issues and training field agents.

Jean has published numerous articles on healthcare fraud and abuse regulation, provider led health plans, and self-disclosure of billing errors, among other topics. Her speaking engagements have included the American Health Lawyers Association, state bar groups, the American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians, and the American Society for Law, Medicine and Ethics.

Jean earned her B.A. in Political Science at UNC Chapel Hill, and her law degree and a Masters in Taxation at George Washington University. She is a member of the North Carolina, Maryland and District of Columbia bars.
